Dee’s Anti-Wrinkle Night Face-Cream

Anti-Wrinkle Facial Cream

Having Sjogren's, really takes a toll on your skin, and you show the signs of aging very quickly, amongst other problems. I have used every cream I know on my skin, even medicated and prescribed by the doctor, and nothing has helped, with the exception of this one, that I came up with thru trial and error. The best one on the market that I used for a long time, was from Aveda, but I had to add oils to it to adjust it to my problematic skin. By the time I was done with my purchase, I had spent over $100, and it would last me about 3 to 4 weeks max. Enough of that, as much as I love and respect their products, I just couldn't afford it any more.
A few years back, I started infusing my own oils in small batches, and at first using them separately. Then I mixed them and added Essential Oils that I knew, would help my skin heal. After I got the recipe down, the results where amazing and my skin just absorbed these oils like it had been in a desert with not a drop of water for years, and no, it didn't leave my skin feeling greasy at all, only for a few minutes, but then again my skin is very, very dry, so it absorbs fast. I also noticed my sister in law has been using the cream lately, and the chronic redness of her chronic Rosacea has gone down by 70%, coincidence???
So here are the ingredients I use to make this healing face cream, but I must tell you that if you are going to attempt this adventure, please, purchase your oils and ingredients from a reputable company, that uses good resources and certified organic oils, like Mountain Rose Herb. And no, I'm not advertising for them, they are just good and trustworthy, must give credit where credit is due. In my case, I'm just lucky to be making my own with the exception of a couple of items that I get from them.

Ingredients: Please use Organic when possible. (not all ingredients are shown in this photo)

2 tbsp + 1 tsp of Beeswax Pebbles
2 tbsp + 1 tsp tsp Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
1/4 cup tbsp of Pomegranate Seed Oil
1/4 cup of Jojoba oil
1/4 cup tbsp of Carrot Infused Oil
1/4 cup tbsp of Rosehip Seed Oil
1/2 cup of Calendula and Lavender Hydrosol (1/2 & 1/2)
1oz pure Vitamin E oil.
Essential Oils of Patchouli (40), Palmarosa (60), Jasmine (25), Carrot (25),  Ylang Ylang (12) and Rose absolute (15)
You can substitute Rose Absolute for Carrot Essential Oil.
4 (4 oz) sterilized jars

Using a double boiler, place beeswax and coconut oil on low hit to melt. When melted, add Pomegranate, Jojoba, Carrot and  Rosehip oils.  Make sure all oils have mixed with the wax. Remove from the stove.

Pour you mix into a Food Processor slowly. Incorporate the Hydrosol while blending, It will get messy. Do NOT stop blending for on minute.

Your cream will have a yellowish tint to it, due to the carrot oil.

Add Essential Oils, blend again and make sure everything is mixed together.

Let it rest for a little bit, about 5 minutes. Check and make sure the oils and hydrosol have not separated. If it looks smooth and creamy, you are ready to pour into jars. If you prefer a lighter lotion consistency, add 2 more ounces of Hydrosol and store in a lotion bottle. Personally my skin requires and loves the cream.

Pour into sterilized Jars (recycled jars are great). This batch will make 4 - 4oz jars. Put in refrigerator until you use. It will keep in the fridge for 6 months and room temperature for about 4 weeks.
Make sure you label with the date you made it or give it an expiration date. If you are weighing items, 4 tbsp = 2 oz / 1/4 cup = 2 oz.
Have fun making it, and If interested I can make it for you for $48 + s/h, the only problem is that during the hot summer days, I have to use special packaging and dry ice to ship. Wouldn't want this to spoil on it's travels to you. Blessed Be. SOLD OUT

  1. Hi, I work in the natural foods and health products industry. I also may my own creams an lotions as well. What a great recipe. I did notice in the picture the coconut oil is a virgin oil, and the recipe just calls for coconut oil. I prefer the virgin myself, less process and lovely scent of coconut. Just thought you would want to clarify if anyone tries you recipe. Thanks!

    1. Hello Jilync, here's a good article on Hydrosols. There basically floral waters made by distillation.

  5. This sound like some cream that I can actually use. I have celiac disease and the face creams you can purchase in the store have hidden ingredients and I can't take the chance with them. I would suspect it would benefit me to purchase the cream from you as I am not sure that I can find all of the ingredients here. Not to mention it would most likely cost me a fortune to purchase them at the health stores in my area.

I would also like to say that I love your page. Very colorful and nice.
