PULSE POINT AROMATHERAPY (PPA)

Apply to all pulse points, including the Occipital region (back, low area of the skull by the neck), and bottom of the feet and lightly rub in.

PPA  is a form of Holistic alternative treatment using a single note or a synergy of well selected Organic Essential Oils, to balance, harmonize, restore and enhance your emotional well-being. Essential Oils have been therapeutically used for over 6,000 years, and are known for their delicate and small molecular chemical structure. They penetrate the cell wall and transport oxygen and nutrients into the blood stream. Pulse Point Aromatherapy (PPA) can deliver rapid results physically and emotionally. Each synergy has been carefully created with a specific purpose and properly diluted with a carrier oil, making it safe to used directly on the skin. Essential Oils are very powerful and pure plant extracts and have the capability of being harmful if not properly used or diluted when used on the skin.

Pay careful attention if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breast feeding. As a general rule Lavender, Geranium, Rose, Chamomile and some citrus oils are safe to use, but it is critical you do research and check for contraindications before using any form of essential oil.

How does Pulse Point or Inhalation Aromatherapy work? 

Applying Aromatherapy oils to your pulse points, enhances the absorption and efficiency of the blend, by penetrating into the bloodstream and affecting the olfactory receptors. Inhalation works in a similar manner by also stimulating the olfactory nerves, but without the oil. 

Were and how do I locate my Pulse points? 

With Aromatherapy, the pulse points are areas where the oil is applied to, like the temples, wrist, inside and outer side of the ankles, the breast bone, the base of the skull, back of the earlobes, inside and outer side of the elbows and sometimes the small of your back for that special occasion. You can  follow the chart above to give you a little hint. One drop (or roll) goes a long ways and can be reapplied as needed. Our blends come in a roll-on bottle already diluted with a carrier oil and safe for skin application.

DIRECT INHALATION AROMATHERAPY (DIA)

Recipes are the same as Pulse Point but the oils are pure and undiluted.

The use of a “Nasal Inhaler” is another rapid, and affective way to deliver the benefits of Essential Oils. It helps with the physical and emotional states, but has no direct contact with the skin. These Oils are pure and undiluted and can be a single note or a synergy of benefits. Inhale deeply and slowly three to five times, hold to the count of 3 after each breath, and exhale. Repeat thru out the day. If you are pregnant and in doubt, this is a safer way to enjoy Aromatherapy rather that direct skin contact, but you should still research which oils could be dangerous. If in doubt, please research and you are welcome to look at our chart at the end of this page. Our delivery system of DIA, is with the use of these “Metal Aromatherapy Bullets”. They have been crated to be used with 100% pure undiluted essential oils. Never use pure essential oils in a plastic tube, unless it has been properly diluted with a carrier oil. Essential Oils will eventually eat or dissolve plastic, therefore, unawarely allowing you to inhale toxic waste from the plastic.

1.-First and foremost, use 100% pure and Organic Essential Oils, free of pesticides & harmful chemicals. You are worth it! The Inhalation Bullet does not require you to dilute the essential oil.
2.-Unscrew the glass vial and add 10 to 15 drops directly into the glass vial. Use a single oil (like Lavender) or a synergy (more than one). Do not overfill, a small amount goes a long ways.
3.-Carefully insert the cotton wick into the glass vial and allow it to absorb the oil.
4.- Place the cap on, and gently roll the container between your hands, to allow the oil to disperse thru the cotton wick.
5.- Open the cap, hold it about 3” from your nose and inhale. Breath deeply and slowly, hold to 3 and exhale. Your brain will thank you.

Using a cold-air diffuser, or tea light diffuser is an easy and safe way even during pregnancy, to deliver the benefits of Aromatherapy thru inhalation, which have a response in our sensory nervous system, by releasing chemical endorphins and causing physical and emotional reactions. Using a clay, or glass tea light diffuser is simple and everyone gets the benefits. Light the tea light and place it underneath in the bottom part of the diffuser. In the upper reservoir, fill with water and several drops of your favorite essential oil. Never leave the container unattended and make sure to clean the bowl after each use. Try using only undiluted Essential Oils and keep an eye on your reservoir, so it doesn't dry-up. Just add a little more water if the tea light is still lit. Once it has extinguished, allow it to cool completely before cleaning it and getting it ready for your next Aromatherapy experience.

Using a natural “Room Spray”, is yet another refreshing way to enjoy the aroma of Organic Essential Oils, which help kill airborne bacteria and stimulate the senses, without all the nasty chemical and toxic store bought sprays. When using one of our room spray, simply spray 2 to 3 times in the center of the room and enjoy. They are highly concentrated and you do not need much to make a statement. My formula is a little different and has other natural ingredients to fight stubborn odors like, kitty boxes, pet smells, cigarette smoke, fish, and the list goes on. Remember that Essential Oils are also highly antibacterial, so by using them in your sprays, you are killing 2 birds with one stone. That being said, it's not only the sprays that can keep your home bug free, but the simple inhaling of the aroma can help keep you safe.

SAME FORMULAS APPLY TO DIRECT INHALATION AND DIFFUSING, BUT WITHOUT THE CARRIER OILS. 
The pure undiluted Organic Essential Oils, come in a 10 ml cobalt blue glass bottle to protect the oil from light. You can find individual pricing on our Etsy shop. 
TIPS

• Please, dilute your oils accordingly, for your safety. 
• Use 1% for children, pregnancy,  facial products  meaning for every 1/2 oz of carrier product use 3 drop of E/O.
• Use 3% for for body products, some skin care, massage oils, bath salts etc.. meaning 9 to 12 drops per 1/2 oz of carrier product.
• Use 5 to 7% for more medicinal mixes, and wound healing, and to make Ointments, Salves, Poultices, Compresses etc.. meaning 15 to 20 drops of E/O per 1/2 oz of carrier product.
• Use the max formulation, only if you know what you want to achieve. Use 1o to 12% of E/O for localized treatments of muscular  and acute localized pain and trauma, meaning 30 to 35 drops per 1/2 oz of carrier product.  First and foremost, consult your physician.  
• Always use tinted glass to save your formulas, never plastic. Essential oils should NEVER be on a clear or plastic bottle. If someone is trying to sell you this and claim is pure,... please walk away and find another source.
• Always use a clean sterilized dropper to get the oils out of the bottle, or use the dropper the bottle already comes with.
• Never double dip your glass dropper from one oil to the next, this will create contamination and it will change the chemistry of your oil.

Granny’s tips: Here’s a few folk medicine ideas that probably your granny did to you when you were little. These are not limited to only children, I have benefited myself greatly with these recipes. Rule #1:

• Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, I just cant say this enough. Did I mention hydrate?
• Chicken soup?? Yes...absolutely, it’s full of nutrients that the body has lost and you need to replenish them. Vegan or Vegetarian?? Thai soups are excellent in this case, they mostly contain veggie broth, Lemongrass, Ginger, Garlic, Galangal and coconut milk, all things your body will thank you for. Loaded up with Kale for an extra nutritious kick. 
• Slice an Onion, place on the bottom of each foot, cover with socks and leave on overnight. Yes you will have a stinky room, but you or the child are more important, the smell will go away once you remove them. For twice the luck, soak the socks in a 50/50 of water and vinegar, ring them out and put on feet (on top of onion slices). 
• Use a 50/50 of cool water and White Vinegar, for a cooling compress on the stomach, neck,  forehead and bottom of feet. This is great for fevers.
• Use the RUB'a'Dub-Dub Kiddy's Chest Rub  or the adult version for a soothing chest, back and foot rub.

A test patch is always advised. Apply a small amount to the inside part of your elbow and wait for 2 hours. If a rash develops, wash with soap and cool water and discontinue the use.
